Bridging In Silico Intelligence and Human Ex Vivo Evidence through a Predict → Test → Update → Optimize Cycle
Edmonton, Alberta — We are excited to announce that Proholistic Discovery and Invexo (https://invexolabs.com/) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to begin a new R&D collaboration.
The collaboration is built around a simple but powerful idea: better drug development requires computational prediction and human-relevant experimental evidence to continuously inform each other.
PHD brings Inference AI, ADMET assessment, and human PK and mechanistic modeling, while Invexo brings its ex vivo human-organ perfusion platform, capable of generating direct experimental evidence on drug metabolism, toxicity, efficacy and biological response in functioning human tissues.
By bringing these complementary capabilities together, we aim to establish a Predict → Test → Update → Optimize cycle:
Predict drug behavior and development risks using computational inference and mechanistic modeling. Test those predictions using human-relevant ex vivo experiments. Update the computational assessment with new experimental evidence. Optimize compounds and development strategies based on the improved understanding.
Through this collaboration, PHD and Invexo will work to combine our existing platforms and expertise to provide more comprehensive offerings to clients.
Our longer-term vision is to make this Predict → Test → Update → Optimize cycle a new way to evaluate and advance drug candidates, progressively reducing uncertainty, improving human relevance, and enabling better development decisions before costly clinical studies. We believe connecting computational inference directly with experimental evidence from human organs can help move drug development toward a more adaptive, evidence-driven process. Ultimately it will contribute to bringing better medicines to patients faster, safer, and more efficiently.
