Building Canada–Taiwan Bridges and Global Partnerships to Advance Drug Discovery and Development
Edmonton, Alberta — Proholistic Discovery Inc. (PHD) recently concluded a busy and productive trip to Taiwan after being selected by the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei to participate in BIO Asia–Taiwan 2026, one of Asia’s major biotechnology industry events.
As part of the Canadian delegation, Proholistic Discovery exhibited at the Canada Pavilion, introducing our Inference AI-driven approach to drug development to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, researchers, investors, and potential partners from Taiwan and around the world.
Dr. Richard Tseng, President and Co-founder of Proholistic Discovery, was also invited to give an oral presentation at the Canada–Taiwan Partnering Forum, where he introduced InferALL®, our Inference AI drug development engine designed to help drug developers identify risks earlier, incorporate human-relevant information, and make better-informed decisions before entering costly clinical development.
Throughout BIO Asia–Taiwan, our team participated in B2B meetings, booth discussions, networking events, and many spontaneous conversations. While Taiwan was at the center of the trip, the event gave us an opportunity to connect well beyond Taiwan. We met and initiated discussions with companies and organizations from Taiwan, the United Kingdom, India, Australia, and other international markets.
These conversations covered potential scientific collaborations, technology partnerships, business opportunities, and ways to combine complementary capabilities in drug discovery and development. Several discussions have continued beyond the event, providing a foundation for potential future collaborations and partnerships.
For Proholistic Discovery, the trip was about much more than showcasing our technology. It was an opportunity to listen, learn, and understand how different companies are approaching the challenges of modern drug development—and where our capabilities in Inference AI, ADMET assessment, human pharmacokinetic modeling, and translational decision support can complement their technologies and expertise.
At the same time, BIO Asia–Taiwan reinforced the tremendous opportunity to build stronger connections between the Canadian and Taiwanese life sciences ecosystems. Taiwan’s strengths in biotechnology, technology development, research, and international commercialization make it a natural partner for Canadian life sciences innovation.
We sincerely thank the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei for the invitation, hospitality, and tremendous support before and throughout the event. Their efforts provided Canadian companies like ours with not only a platform to showcase our technologies, but also opportunities to build relationships that extend across Taiwan and the broader international biotechnology community.
BIO Asia–Taiwan 2026 was not an endpoint, but the beginning of many new conversations. We look forward to turning these connections into meaningful collaborations—both in Taiwan and internationally.
As Proholistic Discovery continues to grow, we hope to help build a stronger Canada–Taiwan bridge for drug discovery and development while connecting complementary expertise across the global life sciences community. Ultimately, these partnerships share the same goal: helping promising therapeutics move toward patients faster, safer, and more efficiently.
